Some of you know me, some of you dont. I am going to marry the love of my life on 9/24/2011. Any words of wisdom from the coolest bunch of folks I have ever known?

We had a large wedding.  Make sure at the reception to say hello personally to everyone and get a candid picture with every family member.  Shortly after mine I realized I missed an uncle and I am still missing him today.

If you are doing a speech write it on cue cards, I talk alot and wound up partially speechless.  I did not need them but, kleenex are handy.

Have fun it is such a great time.  Congrats!

Congrats Rob! I am currently separated so I don't know if I have any wisdom left..Just be true and honest to yourself and to your soon to be spouse. Hopefully she will do the same in return.

Keep the lines of communication open, don't go to bed mad at each other unless you agree to cool off and then talk next day, learn to eat that "kitty" like a pro(I give lessons lol), buy her flowers or some other romantic gesture like a mushy card(Blue Mountain cards rock!) just because you felt like it, keep the flame between you two alive after the honeynoon, and watch out for the dreaded "routine", be open and honest about what you both expect, want and where you see your relationship going. Remember relationships take work and commitment, most lose interest fast in todays instant grata society and culture, don't give up to easy and hold your position when you need to. Don't be to stubborn and hard headed about dumb shit, learn to give some. You'll have to learn the importance of either "being right" all the time or "getting along"...lol

Congrats to you both, enjoy the married life my friend.

Compromise is always key but you must remain your genuine self as that's what she's always been attracted to. CONGRATS & GOOD LUCK!!!!

Wow! Andy24, you surprise me with how spot on you are, and BryanT as well....I'm coming up on 3 years divorced in Dec. and If I had to give you advice it would be exactly what Andy and Bryan said... and only do it if you honestly know in your heart and soul that there is no way you can live without this love of your life.... it's a lot of work, but if you are one of the lucky few who actually find their soul mate it will work out...

Good luck and congrats to you both!

Peace!
